Drive performance breakthroughs at our Smart Insect Farm (SIF) in Kluang, Johor, by identifying, prioritising, and rigorously testing key biological, operational, and technical levers. Your insights will be crucial in shaping the future of our insect bioconversion processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and meticulously plan parallel experiments focused on optimizing insect bioconversion across various feedstocks, in close collaboration with Protenga's leadership.
- Rigorous Experiment Management: Set up experiments precisely according to defined protocols and maintain meticulous records.
- Data-Driven Insights: Collect, analyse, and report experimental data accurately and in a timely, structured manner to inform decision-making.
- Rapid Iteration and Implementation: Champion a fast-paced, iterative experimental cycle to rapidly test, validate, and integrate successful findings into Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborative Improvement: Work hand-in-hand with the operational team to ensure the smooth and effective adoption of validated improvements into daily workflows.
Requirements:
- Be comfortable working in a hot, humid, and dusty environment, as is typical of agricultural settings. The farm can be 35-38 Deg hot and humid.
- You’re based in Kluang / Ayer Hitam area; The farm is operating 7-days a week from 7.30am to 4.30pm; you will have some flexibility on hours, but experimental data collection may require periodic work on weekends.
- Candidates must possess a degree in Biology, Agricultural Science, Entomology, or closely related field with a strong biological focus relevant to insect rearing and/or bioconversion.
- Strong technical savviness (hardware/software) and commercial acumen required
- Integrity and reliability is a must
